Our trip to Eastbourne

As most of you have probably noticed, the halls in the school were quite empty in the first week of school, since the 4 HLS, 3HLS and 3 FSB spent the week in Eastbourne, which is a charming town located on the south coast. Despite the habitants telling us that the town is quite boring we found a lot of fun activities to do.

We spent our morning in a language school and learned a lot about the culture, health- and school system of the United Kingdom. And although that was very interesting, we were always excited for the afternoon, when we could explore the town or go on fun trips, like when we went to Brighton, Hastings or Beachy Head. We even went to London and could explore this huge city all by ourselves!

During our stay there, all of the students and teachers lived with host families, who were so sweet and definitely did not fulfil the cliché of the mean English people. Also, the sun shone more in the week that we stayed there than during the whole summer, so you could say we did not get the full England experience.

Because of our trip, we could bond with students from other classes, learn about another culture and make memories that will last us for a long time. The only advice I would give to anyone who wants to travel to England is to pack a lot of snacks because the food is in desperate need of improvement.
